Undead Rogue (WOW)

Since we made the costume for Ducky (Sylvana Windrunner), I obviously couldn’t wear my regular clothes. We always support each other with our ideas, and this time it was no different.

But to avoid stealing the show from Ducky, we looked for something that also came from World of Warcraft. But not too flashy. A sidekick, a wingmaster… an undead Rogue!

There was just one thing… I couldn’t find a template for the armor costume anywhere. This time, I had to rely solely on an image from the internet.

After measuring my torso, shoulders, arms, and so on, I started making paper templates. Ultimately, I had a suitable costume made from paper, which I could then transfer to foam.

We found some suitable material in the closet that, with a few adjustments, could also be used for this costume. Handy if you sometimes keep things. And a pair of old shoes came in handy for the Undead Rogue’s feet.

Still making some adjustments here and there. And I had some fitting armor from the Undead Rogue. That means the shoulders, torso, thighs, and forearms. A pair of skeleton gloves I had lying around. I could use them for the hands. I also attached the forearm protectors to them.

I still had an old black long-sleeved shirt lying around. So all I needed to do was order some mid-length pants and a scarf to complete the costume.

All that was left was something for my face. Of course, I could have face-painted it. But mine starts to itch quickly, so that didn’t help if you want to wander around all day. So I started with a cardboard mask, modeling clay, and liquid latex.
And to make the mask just a little stronger, since it’s all built up in thin layers, I took a paper towel and stripped the sheets until I was left with a single, very thin sheet. I then coated this with three layers of latex. Now just add a little color and you’re done!
